On Wednesday, September 14, America's Next Top Model did something that they haven't done yet. They brought back people from previous cycles to make it an All-Star cycle on CW. Angele (cycle 14), Laura (cycle 13),Bianca (Cycle 9), Lisa (Cycle 5), Bre (Cycle 5), Brittany (Cycle 4), Dominique (Cycle 10), Sheena (Cycle 11), Isis(Cycle 11), Kayla (Cycle 15), Allison (Cycle 12), Camille (Cycle 2), Shannon (Cycle 1) and finally Alexandra (Cycle 16); all one by one arrive in Los Angles at the mansion. They picked all these girls for a reason. They were all remembered for something they did during the cycles that they were a part of.
Before anyone can settle into their new home, it is time for a photo shoot. In this photo shoot the girls must revisit their old personas from the last time they were on the show, and they must show them larger than life. The only person who really throws a fit is Bianca when they put red extensions into her hair, but everyone else falls into their roles as easily as they were given the roles in their cycles. Once its Shannon's turn, the stylist hands her a white lacy top and a matching bottom. She won't wear the bottom because it looks like underwear and she says, "Panties are meant for my husband." I think this is something great about her. It shows that she doesn't show everything and is a lot more reserved, which makes me like her ever more from the very first season.
After the photo shoot, they go to the first ever live judging at L.A. Live in front of the judges, their fans and guest judge Nicki Minaj. Everyone was shocked that she was the judge. However, Tyra was surprised about how well she critiqued each individual photo of all of the girls. All of the contestants got cheers from their fans except for one. Can you guess who? Alexandra, who else? She is best known for her not so great attitude. There was even someone in the audience who booed at her, but she kept her calm.
After the judges evaluated the girls, the audience got to decide who went home. They polled the audience on who they like and who they did not like. Once the polling was over, it was elimination time. The last two people it came down to were Brittany and Alexandra. The audience had nothing to say about Brittany and had a lot of bad things to say about Alexandra. Only one could stay and Alexandra stayed. Tyra said, "All the fans in the audiences hated her so much that they kind of loved her in a way." I have never liked Alexandra so I wanted Brittany to stay, but she didn't, so we will see what happens next. This is going to be a cycle that you cannot forget, so make sure you tune in to watch America's Next Top Model: All-Star on the CW at 9:00 PM.
