My heart was once heavy.
It felt as though a brick sat in my chest.
Then something, or someone, came and stole that weight away.
Now it is able to float.
It does so ever so carelessly.
Just as a feather would in a mild summer breeze.
I sit down on a nearby bench and watch it for awhile.
Suddenly, a smile stretches across my face.
I close my eyes and deeply inhale the warm fresh air.
Along with the smell of freshly cut grass, and breathe out slowly.
Finally, my mind is at ease.
I stand and begin to walk.
I don't know exactly where.
Somehow it feels as if I can go anywhere.
So I guess anywhere is where I'll go . . .
