Are you looking for some new artists to add to your music playlist? Well, look no further because I have a few I think you might enjoy. Here are a few mixtapes (free digital albums) from some upcoming artists that I have recently taken a liking to, and hopefully you will too after you take a listen.
The first artist is Pop/R&B singer Jasmine Villegas from San Jose, California. To just be 17 years old, she has a very nice, melodious voice. If you put that with some nice lyrics and a hot beat, then you have a guaranteed hit. Villegas recently released a mixtape entitled "S(he) Be(lie)ve(d)"on Sept. 22. It is pretty much based on the concept of dealing with relationship issues. Every song on the mixtape is nice in my opinion, but some of my favorites that I would suggest are "So Silly," "Angel," "Jealous" and "Hello." To check it out, go to www.jasminevmusic.com.
The next artist is R&B singer Siergio from Atlanta, Georgia. Ladies, I think you might fall in love with his voice, if nothing else. He just recently released his mixtape "Underneath the Covers"on Nov. 11. He has two original tracks of his own on the mixtape with the rest being covers to songs by artists, such as Drake, Frank Ocean, Chris Brown and Beyonce. Siergio's music has that smooth late night-early morning feel to it. Once again every song is pretty nice, but I would suggest listening to "Lotus Flower Bomb," "Wetter," and "I Miss You." Lastly, we have Rap/Hip Hop group The Ranger$ from California. Made up of members Julian, Day Day and Langston, they started off as a group of the popular dance movement known as "jerkin." Now, they have moved onto the music scene. Their mixtape called "That Mixtape"was released Sept. 26. It includes a lot of party type music that you can dance to.
