Late last Wednesday night, Meherrin man Bennie Waller allegedly shot into his living room window with a high powered weapon, where his son rested within, resulting in no injuries, reports WFLO. The Virginia State Police Division Tactical Unit responded to the incident at 2:20 a.m. on Jan. 31. According to investigators with the Prince Edward Sheriff’s Office, Waller is being charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The reported shooting occurred in the 2300 block of Meherrin Road. Waller is currently being held at Piedmont Regional Jail.
