DVDs Out This Week:

“Baggage Claim”: Main character Montana Moore is fed up with her love life being in shambles. And now that her little sister is engaged, Montana is the last single female in the family. So together with her flight attendant friends, she is on a mission to do whatever it takes to reconnect with one of her exes to see if there’s still a spark there. For a month, they track her exes travelling schedules so that no matter where they go, Montana is working that flight. This lands her in quite a few sticky situations, and even a garbage can, but it promises to keep you laughing. (Paula Patton, Taye Diggs, Derek Luke, Trey Songz)

“Free Birds”: Join Owen Wilson, as the voice of Reggie, and Woody Harrelson, as the voice of Jake the turkey, on their quest to go back in time and turn the tables of Thanksgiving around. These two turkeys from different backgrounds join forces in order to take back Thanksgiving and make it turkey friendly. While their measures are a bit drastic, this promises to be a hilarious movie for kids at heart everywhere. (Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson, Dan Fogler)

“About Time”: Rachel McAdams is at it again! She has wooed yet another man into doing whatever it takes to win her love. But this time it’s different; this time the lucky guy has the ability to time travel. So when everything goes wrong, all he has to do is clench his fists and go back in time to fix it. But it’s not always that easy, and things consistently screw up and get complicated to add to his struggle to win her love. This typically sappy drama promises to be perfect for every girls’ night. (Domhnall Gleeson, Rachel McAdams)

“The Dallas Buyers Club”: Matthew McConaughey stars as a gambling Texas cowboy in the sixties who is suddenly diagnosed with AIDS. He refuses to accept the doctor’s belief that he only has 30 days to live, and instead he travels to Mexico in search of a cure. From there, he finds drugs that aren’t FDA approved and he brings them back to the United States to sell to others in similar situations. Many say that he’s nothing more than a classy drug dealer, but he’s willing to do whatever it takes to stay alive and help others in his situation. (Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner, Jared Leto, Steve Zahn)
