Billboards up for missing Longwood Student, AJ Hadsell

Have you seen AJ?

One of the 10 billboards that went up Monday in the Norfolk area funded by Adams Outdoor Advertising.

“Have you seen AJ?” asks several billboards recently posted across the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.

The question of course referring to Anjelica “AJ” Hadsell, a Longwood University freshman officially pronounced missing by Norfolk Police a week and a half ago while she was on spring break.

The 10 billboards went up on Monday and were funded by Adams Outdoor Advertising, an independent company based out of Norfolk—there was no cost to the Hadsell family.

According to WAVY News, Police got a tip on Thursday connecting AJ to Northside Park in Norfolk, but after examination found nothing.

“We still don’t know the circumstances, and haven’t ruled out any possibilities,” Norfolk Police Department Spokesman Daniel Hudson said during a Friday phone interview with The Rotunda. “We are doing everything we can to try and find her.”

This past week, the Hadsell family announced they are offering a $3,000 reward to anyone who has information on their daughter’s whereabouts.

Police told The Rotunda their searches are still ongoing—they have also seen hundreds of other people in the Norfolk area looking for AJ.

If you have any information that could lead to finding AJ, call Norfolk police 757-664-7026.

Stay with The Rotunda for future updates on AJ’s status.
