Although falling on the Saturday of Spring Weekend, April 16, hundreds of people shuffled in and out of the Longwood Center of Visual Arts (LCVA) to view its newest exhibit, “Point of Departure: 2016 Senior Thesis Exhibition.” Each year, “Point of Departure” has become a staple for the Longwood and Farmville communities to come together and see professional art from senior Longwood visual arts students. This year, the annual event featured plenty works of art including photography, jewelry, paintings and ceramic work as well as other forms of art that have become core parts of their professional portfolios. For those of you who did not catch “Point of Departure: 2016 Senior Thesis Exhibition,” the exhibit will run until May 11, 2016.
