Longwood men's basketball senior Shaquille Johnson competed in the State Farm College Slam Dunk Contest last night on ESPN as the first Lancer to appear in the showdown.
A tenth of a point kept him from advancing from the first round, needing a social media surge from Twitter to push him past the ultimate winner, Devan Douglass of University of Mary.

Although Johnson didn't win, his dunk over his 6-foot-9 human obstacle sent Longwood viewers into a tweeting frenzy.
