My time at Longwood has been something that I never expected. I’ve met people from all different walks of life that I never even imagined I would meet.

I’ve had many different experiences that have helped me become who I am today, both good and bad. That’s life. I am thankful for every person that has been a part of my life, no matter how small, because that has taught me something that I will hold onto for the rest of my life.

What I am most thankful for though is the Rotunda. I joined it simply because it had been recommended to me by a few people within my major and it sounded interesting. It has become so much more than that though.

It has become a family to me that pushes me to become better and grow in any way that I can. They support me through bad days and I try to do the same for them. I can confide in them about anything. The family is constantly growing so I’m not as close with some as others.

Everyone is always kind though, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that I always want to be in. Through the organization, I’ve also fostered my passion for journalism while becoming more informed of what’s happening on campus.

Overall, I couldn’t imagine being a part of any other organization and I wouldn’t want to change anything about my experience at Longwood with the Rotunda.
