As one of the newer additions to Farmville after opening in September 2017, Third Street Brewing’s mission is to be a fun and relaxed environment for the community, as stated on their website.
Third Street is a spot for those who are of age to be able to drink locally-made craft beer since it's the first and only craft beer brewery in Farmville.
New beers rotate with the time and transition of seasons. However, a popular hit is the High Bridge Lager, and the sale proceeds go to maintaining Farmville’s High Bridge.
But even for those who aren’t 21 yet, there's still plenty of fun to be had.; Third Street regularly has bands performing live, coupled with trivia and karaoke nights.
Inside, there are different games to play including Battleship, UNO and playing cards. Feeling hungry, but for a lighter fare? Third Street has hot and buttery popcorn to munch on for free.
After gaining popularity in Farmville, the brewery is currently working on opening a second location in Lynchburg.
With gained momentum, Third Street has also partnered with 16 different groups and organizations including Longwood University, Hampden-Sydney College, The Heart of Virginia Festival and Special Olympics Virginia.
